The fieldstone building was constructed in the 18th century originally as a school and retains many original features, including mouldings, wood panelling and stained glass. Getting there: Taxi services are available from the airport to the hotel. Alternatively, the Aircoach goes from Dublin Airport to Dublin city centre. The service runs 24 hours, every day. Tickets can be purchased from the bus driver and cost approximately €10(return) From Dublin city centre, take either the Commuter Bus or Bus Eireann, both of which stop at Celbridge directly in front of the hotel. Train services run from Heuston Station in Dublin city centre to the Hazel Hatch train station in Celbridge.
Driving directions: From the airport, take the N1 heading towards M50. Take the M50 southbound to Lucan and continue straight passing Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, continue to the Celbridge/Leixlep exit, turn left and continue past the Westin Airport. Go through the traffic light intersections until entering Celbridge, cross over the bridge and turn left, continue straight. The hotel is further up the road on the left.
Getting around: Dublin's extensive bus network (green double-deckers) serves the centre and the suburbs. Taxis are expensive and can be hard to come by. Parking is scarce, but a car is a great way to get off the beaten track; the centre of Dublin is best explored on foot.
